  • Sometimes I wish that nobody knew me.  That way, I wouldn't be able to hurt them.  That way, I wouldn't be able to look into their eyes and see pain...caused by me.  That way, I wouldn't turn people's good days into bad days.  That way, I wouldn't be worried that every time I open my mouth I'm going to inadvertently (or otherwise) say something that makes the people I love sad.  I am sorry.

  • Fall break is upon us!!!!  Hooray!!!  I actually have 16 more minutes until I get off work and am officially on my break.  I'm quite excited about it.

This week has been rough.  Since Monday I've only gotten 16.5 hours of sleep, and just barely manage to keep my eyes open in class.  Homework was insane...I had papers, projects, tests, and lots of reading throughout the week.  I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about.  But thank God it's over for a little while.  I'm pretty bummed out that I still have quite a bit of homework to do over break though.  Professors seriously need to get a grip and realize what the meaning of "break" is.  Gosh.

I'm enjoying being back in JBU with all of my buddies again.  I missed everyone so much over the summer.  It's wonderful to be able to just call someone up and see if they wanna hang out, or give them a hug on the way to class.  I am getting a bit of cabin fever though.  I really want to GO somewhere and do something adventurous.  At least when I'm done taking a 24 hour long nap. :)

  • I just spent a lovely weekend with my family up in the mountains, camping in the Sequoia National Park.  It was great fun, I always love to go camping.  Admittedly, I really enjoyed the shower I took immediately after returning home, but smelling like wood smoke through and through is all part of the experience.

We saw the biggest tree in the world, the General Sherman.  It was pretty darn huge.  All of those trees are pretty darn huge.  We saw another one, the General Grant, which is the 3rd largest.  It's really very awe inspiring to look at them and realize that God created them and has been helping them grow for thousands of years.  It's weird looking at something that is 2000 years old.

I have 3 more days of work left and am so super pumped to get back to school in just 6 days!!! woo hoo!!  BIG praise is that God totally provided all the financial aid I need for the ENTIRE year!!!!  So much more than I expected!  God is so good like that, isn't He?

  • Man...August 2.  Today I started work at the International Medical Corps, helping out in the logistics office.  I worked there earlier in the summer and although the work is pretty tedious, I really enjoy the people and so that makes it much better.

On Friday my fam is going to the Hollywood Bowl to watch a Celtic music show and I'm pretty excited about that.  I really like Celtic music and I've never been to the Bowl so it's a new experience for me.

Today I drove to and from work all by myself in a stick shift.  On the way there I stalled quite a bit cause I was tired and nervous, but on the way back I did a pretty darn good job, considering that I was in a very busy part of town during rush hour and it's awful in any kind of car to be in stop and go traffic.  I only stalled once. :D  jeje.
